The sixth annual Savannah Red*Trout Celebrity Classic is a two-day catch-and-release tournament that focuses on fun, conservation, sportsmanship and most importantly, raising funds to benefit cystic fibrosis research. The captains meeting will be held on Nov. 12, with fishing to commence on Nov. 13th and 14th.
Participants will fish for two days in search of red drum and speckled trout (hence, "Red Trout") in the inshore waters of the Savannah coast.
Capt. Graham Hegamyer, Capt. Theo Jourdan, and Capt. Jason Fowler will represent team Homewaters in the tournament. Good luck and stay tuned for tournament updates and results!

We are sponsoring an oyster roast at Goldbug Island on Ben Sawyer Blvd in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The cause is to raise money for The Mikel Foundation to benefit kids with cystic fibrosis so that they may live life to the fullest. Tickets are $25 at the door and this covers an open bar and all you can eat oysters. It lasts from 3-9pm and there will be raffles and other prizes. Come out for a good cause and support fishing and its future. We are making our first North Carolina Coastal Conservation Association appearance. The Charlotte Chapters' annual banquet is this Thursday night the 26th at The Metropolitan. The event was great. The Homewaters Inshore Package was raffled away. It included an Inshore trip with Graham Hegamyer and hotel accomadations for the night at the Residence Inn on RIpley Pt. Dr in Charleston, SC. The package went for $450. It was great to see 150 people there on a rainy day to support the future of our fishing. Thanks to Jay Dail for inviting us, we're looking forward to next year.

Join us at the First Annual South Carolina Coastal Conservation Association's banquet. It will be held Friday and Saturday the 30-31st at the Omar Shrine Temple at Patriot's Point in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. We have donated two Homewaters Fishing packages to the live auction. We cannot reveal the details yet, but they are very special items. Each chapter in South Carolina has one item up for bid and we have been fortunate enough to provide the Sea Island and East Cooper with items for the auction. Visit the CCA's website to learn more. We just got back from a visit to the Waddell Mariculture Center. The research that they are doing on redfish and cobia is truly groundbreaking. It is exciting to work together with people like Al Stokes. We are just beginning to see the potential for what we can acheive through working together.
